MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Two A-Levels, or equivalent in Maths and another technical subject (normally Physics). Level 3 BTEC, National Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma in Engineering. Mature applicants will be considered by interview.


ABOUT THE COURSE
This qualification is designed to meet the needs of those already in employment and looking to further their career within engineering. The Level 4 HNC in Engineering (General) is designed to develop your knowledge and skills in electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering technologies which are crucial to organisations in this dynamic sector. 
If you’re looking to further develop your technical knowledge and skills, this course will allow you to study a more diverse range of units from digital principles to electrical testing and principles.

ASSESSMENT
The course will be internally assessed through a programme of assignments, projects, case studies and practical activities.

WHERE DOES IT LEAD?
An Engineering Higher National Certificate can lead to further progression in the engineering sector. It can also provide the option to top up your Higher National Certificate to a Level 5 Higher National Diploma. This requires you to study a further 8 units to complete your HND.
