This course teaches you the skills required for a trainee carpenter and joiner. You will learn the basic joints used in carpentry and joinery as well as site health and safety and how to store resources.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Pens, pencils and a course textbook (full list to be provided by tutor)
Steel toe capped boots, work trousers and uniform must be worn at all times when in the workshops.
4 GCSEs at grade 2 or above including English and Maths (considerations made on a case-by-case basis).
Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery, or an Apprenticeship.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
