This Level 1 qualification will provide you with the basic plumbing skills used in industry.
If you are interested in a career in the plumbing industry, then this is the entry course for you. You will learn the basic skills required for the industry, health and safety, and work as part of a team whilst working in a fully equipped and realistic workshop. This course is a combination of practical work and theory.

- Unit 111 –Low Carbon Steel
- Unit 112 –Installation, Repair and Maintenance
- Unit 113 –Plumbing Science
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Steel toe capped boots and work trousers must be worn at all times when in the workshops.
4 GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) including English and Maths.
Plumbing Level 2 Diploma or an Apprenticeship.
There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including leaflets, handbooks, essays and reports, practical assessment and observation, class tests, presentations, discussion seminars and practical projects.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
