This course covers all elements of practical work; topics will include Health & Safety, Cold and Hot Water, Central Heating, Sanitation & Drainage, Maintenance, Working Relationships and Quality Development. There is a large proportion of self-study and research tasks and the ability to manage your own time effectively.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
All students will be required to wear college uniform.Steel toe capped boots must be worn at all time when in the workshops. It is recommended that all students purchase a course Textbook.
You will need to purchase uniform items such as a polo shirt, trousers and other personal protection equipment (PPE). Please be aware that there may be additional costs for equipment and educational visits. This information will be available from the curriculum staff at interview.
Plumbing Level 1 Diploma and GCSE grade 9-3 (A*-D) in English and Maths.

There is a continued assessment throughout the programme, allowing students to improve and develop continually. Assessment comes in a range of forms including reports, practical assessment and observation, online assessments and presentations.
Students aged 16 to 18, or those aged 16 to 24 who have a valid EHCP and are studying a full-time course, do not have to pay a course fee.
Students aged 19+ (without an EHCP) may have to pay tuition fees. Please contact Client Services for more information.
