Our Foundation Learning students recently celebrated a sweet success, taking first place in the Surrey FE SEN Bake Competition hosted by NESCOT.
Working exceptionally well as a team, the pair also demonstrated excellent confidence and remained calm under pressure. The cake they produced not only looked outstanding but tasted even better, with judges describing it as the most flavoursome cake of the competition.
Alongside their baking challenge, Bradley and Jamie were also required to present a Power Point slide to NESCOT’s Life Skills department. Stepping outside their comfort zones, they spoke to the audience with pride and confidence, explaining the inspiration behind their cake and bringing their ideas to life.
This was an incredible achievement for both learners, highlighting not only their baking talents but also their growth in confidence, communication skills, and willingness to embrace new challenges. It was a well-earned victory, and we are extremely proud of what they accomplished.
