Hearing from Bank of England

A huge thank you to Steve Pitcher, Chief Operating Officer at Bank of England, who delivered a great talk to our Business and IT students. They heard all about the history of the Bank, with the building dating back to Roman times! 

Steve explained the Bank’s key focuses, which include keeping money secure, storing gold and keeping the value of money stable. Students were also interested to learn about careers available, as Steve shared how the Bank is an inspiring place to work:

“It’s become more inclusive and diverse and really supports your career aspirations. You never stop learning.”
