From Thursday 21 August until Friday 29 August, thousands of new and returning students as well as adult learners enrolled at East Surrey College for the upcoming academic year.
Throughout the week, it was all hands-on deck to get students prepared for the start of the new term. Curriculum, support, and temporary staff all played their role in processing almost 3000 learners, and a record 556 students last Friday across Orbital South Colleges.
New courses were also enrolling for the first time, including Level 1 Animal Management, and a T Level in Health. This has necessitated the provision of brand new state-of-the-art facilities for these students.
Admissions Manager, Imran Khan reflected on the thriving atmosphere across the college, saying:
‘It’s been fantastic – there’s been a real buzz around campus as we’ve welcomed so many through our doors. The Ofsted good rating has really boosted popularity of both colleges. The enrolment operation sees college-wide effort and it’s been great to see dedication of staff who have supported every step of the process. We’ve had some super busy days! I’d like to wish all new and returning students a warm welcome to our colleges.’
