Entry Criteria
We would expect applicants to have GCSE/O-Level Maths at Grade 4/C. Mature candidates may be accepted on this programme who can demonstrate reasonable maths skills on assessment.
Attendance
This course is blended learning and you will experience a mix of on-line teaching and face to face classes. Each academic year is 34 weeks and typically follows Surrey County Council term dates.
Assessment
The outcome of this course is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.
This course is primarily assessed through assignments and you will be expected to meet all deadlines for handing in this work. Missed deadlines will result in work being capped at a Pass.
Commitment
This additional 600 hours (300 per year) will be in self-directed learning, assignment writing and research. You must be prepared to commit to this additional time outside the classroom. This could equate to up to a couple of evenings a week of self-study during the course. You must be prepared to commit to this additional time outside the classroom over the two years.
